ABOUT OMEN

Growing up in Cretan and Greek-Cypriot households, we took it for granted that there would be delicious, high-quality olive oil at every meal. We want to bring the olive oil of our ancestors to you.

Industrialized food production has severed our connection to what we eat. The time-perfected ways of nature have been replaced by the laboratory.

We started OMEN to show there is a way to eat well again. Quality food made at human scale by people, for people.

All members of the OMEN olive oil operation — whether they grow the trees, press the fruit, manufacture the tin, or ship the product — belong to a small, family-owned operation.

In Greek culture, ξενία (zee-nee-uh), is our word for friendship with guests. For thousands of years we have viewed it as our obligation to put hospitality above all else. At the heart of hospitality is a meal worth remembering, and it always includes olive oil.

OMEN is something we keep on our table to share with our guests  —  we want to make it an indispensable part of yours.

Koroneiki olives — a historic Greek variety widely regarded for producing expressive, high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Naturally high in polyphenols (natural antioxidants), they strike a balance between fruitiness and gentle bitterness, with a clean, peppery finish that reflects fresh harvest fruit.

PDO, or Protected Designation of Origin, is a European standard protecting foods produced entirely within a specific region using traditional methods. Simply put, our olive oil is single-origin from its designated Cretan region, grown and produced there under strict oversight from grove to tin.
